ChitUI - Leak Detector

Description

Leak Detector

Version: 1.1.1 | Author: ChitUI Developer | UI: Toolbar (droplet icon)
Dependencies: requests, zeroconf (optional, for mDNS auto-discovery)

Updates

  • Multi-module support — each ESP32 is tracked and named independently (e.g. "Saturn Vat", "Mars Vat"), so alerts and notifications always say which printer they're from
  • Push notifications now include the module name in the title
  • Fixed: alert locations showed the raw ESP32 slug (vat_center) instead of the formatted name from Settings (Vat Center)
  • Fixed: Rename/Delete buttons had a hard-to-read transparent background
  • Notification module-name brackets now have padding for readability: [Saturn Vat]

ESP32-based resin leak detection system with real-time monitoring and alerts for 3D printer safety. Supports multiple independent modules — install one per printer without them colliding into shared state — and dispatches customizable alerts the moment a leak is detected, attributed to the exact module and sensor location that triggered it.

Features

Multi-Module Management

  • One module per physical ESP32, auto-registered the first time it reports in
  • Editable name per module (Settings → Modules)
  • Independent sensor names/locations/enabled flags per module — nothing shared across devices
  • Remove a module from tracking when a device is retired
  • Existing single-module setups migrate automatically, preserving your sensor names

Device Integration

  • Automatic discovery via mDNS — every ESP32 found gets its own module, not just the first
  • Manual configuration via web interface
  • WiFi connectivity with OTA updates
  • Capacitive touch sensors (ESP32-S3) or analog sensors (ESP32-C3)

Monitoring

  • 3 sensor zones per module (Vat Center / Front Edge / Build Plate by default, fully renameable)
  • Real-time value display per module
  • Alert threshold monitoring with auto-calibration on startup

Alerts

  • Visual alerts in the ChitUI toolbar, broken out per module
  • Push notifications via Chitu Notify (ntfy.sh), titled with the module name
  • Browser push notifications (optional)
  • Alert history with timestamps, formatted locations, and module attribution
  • Configurable alert cooldown, one-click clearing

Safety

  • Optional GPIO relay safety cutoff — shared across all modules, so a leak on any printer can cut power; arm/disarm reason log includes which module triggered it
